One of the least explored areas and untouched trekking routes of the Himalayas is the Ganesh Himal Trek. Lying between Langtang and Manaslu, Ganesh Himal Trekking has a lot of hidden wonders and marvels. Ganesh Himal, named after a Hindu god, offers untouched natural beauties and a wide range of exotic floras and faunas. Home to the astounding Ganesh Himal range, Mount Manaslu, Langtang, Annapurna and the Tibet range, this trek is a package of splendid mountains views along with an amazing landscape. Embraced by the beautiful waterfalls, stupas, cliffs, extraordinary rock formations, we enjoy the tranquillity of the isolated villages as we walk the trail. Home to diverse species of herbal plants and minerals like ruby, crystal and zinc, the trail is even more beautiful as we get a glimpse of fascinating floras and faunas.
Our trek begins from a bus or a jeep ride till Syabrubesi(1,503m) from Kathmandu. The adventurous with narrow and rocky paths until Syabrubesi will give us goosebumps. We move ahead to Langtang National Park where we get our permits checked and registered. We further move towards Gatlang(2,337m) via Chawatar. We traverse through the grace of the Tamang culture and tradition as we pass through the lush green forests and thrilling suspension bridges. We ascend from Gatlang to Parvati Kunda, where we will savour the beauty of the Holy Lake. Amidst these two points, we will also get a glimpse of Yuri Kharka as we pass through marvellous rhododendron forest. We will explore the zinc, copper, crystal and ruby mines in Somdang(3,271m). With full excitement, we will traverse through the phenomenal Pangsang Pass(3,842m) to reach Tipling(2,087m). As we move ahead to Hindung(Gomba Danda) via lush green meadows, we walk past the Shertung and Chalish Village(1,875m). We seize a higher elevation as we move ahead to Thulo Dhunga(3,337m). Furthermore, we will reach Nojet Kharka(3,691m), the base camp of Ganesh Himal. The next day, we stroll around the Base Camp and hike ahead to get an outstanding view of the Ganesh Himal range along with other astounding peaks.
We return to Hindung(2,403m), where we relax in the natural hot spring. We further descend to Khading Gaon (2,025m) through Racyat/Kapor Gaon. Through a pleasant trail from Khading Gaon, we halt at Magne Goth(2,950m). Descending from Lapu Danda (1,250m), we head towards Ganga Jamuna(950m) witnessing the excellent view of Mount Manaslu and various other dazzling mountains. Traversing through Brahmin villages, paddy fields and a lot of flat fields, we reach Tripura Sundari(850m). We conclude our trek today with a bus ride back to Kathmandu from Tripura Sundari.
